THE MEDIA WORKSHOP

Learn
how arts groups can increase visibility and media coverage. The program will explore how groups can engage the media in an authentic manner and will provide tips
to get on the media's radar screen, connect with non-traditional media and
develop a creative hook to get coverage. The media has evolved
into marketing across platforms and sources. The panel of media pros will
provide new tips on how to connect with them, get their attention and
get covered! There will be ample time for Q&A and discussion.
All participants receive the 2014 Miami Media Guide
for the Arts.

$25; Lunch $15 - Scholarships available for grantees of Miami-Dade County Department of
Cultural Affairs' Youth Arts Miami, Hannibal Cox, Jr., Cultural Advancement and
Developing Arts in Neighborhoods grant programs; City of Coral Gables grantees
and members of the Greater Miami Festivals & Events Association.

GRANTS ONLINE (CGO) BASIC TRAINING AND GRANT-SPECIFIC WORKSHOPS FOR FIRST-TIME
APPLICANTS
The CGO workshops cover the basics of applying
through the Department's web-based grants system. This is a mandatory workshop
for first-time applicants.
First-time applicants must also attend a
grant-specific workshop for the following programs:
Community Grants - FY2014-2015 1st Quarter
Grant-Specific Workshop: June 12, 2014 at 2 PM
Grant-Specific Workshop: June 26, 2014 at 2 PM
Workshops are held at the Miami-Dade County Department of
Cultural Affairs, 111 NW 1st Street, 6th Floor Conference
