Soon, the next discovery vacation plans are plotted: 36 hours in Historic equine Aiken, a warm wintry walk on the Myrtle Beach sand or a cultural small town discovery in Lincolnton, near Charlotte. And so it goes.
The fun, relaxation, discovery and great value inspire families to explore the culture and snoop the real estate values now available.

The Ninety Six National Historic Site
is a perfect destination for all ages and is part of the SC Heritage
Corridor. Children will love the large park, and adults will immerse
themselves in the significance of this outpost.
But what's with the
name? Actually, it's a mistake. Early traders thought it was 96 miles
to the Cherokee village of Keowee, in the foothills. Nope. But no
matter. This mistakenly named area will introduce visitors to conflicts
with the Cherokees, American Revolution and Major Nathaniel Greene's
unsuccessful siege against the fort. The kids will never realize how
much they're learning. Call 866.915.0942.

“R” is
for oysters
If you
live along the coast, or like to visit, you know that oyster roasts are as
integral to fall as football, fairs, harvest moons, and the coming holidays.
The fun continues though the winter into early spring. (SC's oyster
season runs September through April – which is easy to remember since the names
of these months all have the letter "R" in them.) As SC author and
oyster expert Vic Burrell aptly explains, an oyster roast is "always a
crowd pleaser and follows the theory of entertainment that if you are standing
up and eating with your fingers, you've got to be having fun."
