NetworkPalooza! is a business networking experience for professionals that educates and connects professionals in business. The event, which is produced by the managing partners of Business Events Florida will create the ultimate business networking experience. Networking groups, chambers, social and charitable organizations can congregate and make connections with the local business networking community for one day. This will be the first of many NetworkPaloozas.
The event will be produced like an expo, but with a select group of networking organizations and a handful of sponsors. The activities will include events like speed networking, women’s networking, going green networking, technology networking, legal/medical networking, happy hour networking, private one-on-one sessions between guests and exhibitors, networking educational seminars and more. The event will last for approximately 12 hours and 600 - 800 professionals are expected to pass through during that period.

HDI Continues Inaugural Year With Meeting On Performance Metrics
Join us on Thursday, September 24th at the Carnival Cruise Lines HQ in Doral as HDI continues their inaugural year celebration with another great event! Richard Razon, co-founder of Pureshare, Inc, will speak on Performance Metrics. Joining Richard will be HDI - South Florida officers Eddie Vidal and Robert Pinto, who will provide valuable insights through their case studies. This three part session will teach you how to create and use consolidated performance metrics to delight clients, empower staff and move from being in a constant state of fire-fighting to a more productive, proactive state.

1st Prize: The Spy Kite
Spy Kite Will Take Your Snooping To New Heights
This is the kite equipped with a digital camera, enabling you to take aerial pictures from as high up as 80'. The camera secures to the underside of the 45" x 23 1/2" delta wing kite and can be set to take a picture at 15-, 30-, 60-, or 90-second intervals. It can store up to 25 pictures at 640 x 480 resolution or as many as 305 pictures at 320 x 200 resolution on its built-in 4 MB memory. When your flights are complete, the camera connects to your computer running Windows XP or Vista via USB for image downloads. The kite is made from durable nylon with sturdy fiberglass supports.
Temporary help payrolls fell by 6,500 jobs in August to approximately 1.7 million, a smaller decrease than the 7,600 temporary jobs lost in July, according to seasonally adjusted preliminary numbers released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The temporary help penetration rate edged down to 1.32% in August from 1.33% in July.
August's decline of 6,500 jobs in temporary employment was less than the 12-month average change of a loss of 47,000 per month.
Year over year, temporary help payrolls were down 24.5%.
Temporary job losses as a percent of total job losses were 3.0% in August.
Total U.S. nonfarm payrolls fell by 216,000 in August, down from the 12-month average job loss of 486,000 per month.
The U.S. unemployment rate in August was 9.7%, up from 9.4% in July.
The college-level unemployment rate edged up to 4.70% in August from 4.69% in July.
