5th Annual South Florida Code Camp Set For February
Join us on Saturday, February 27th at DeVry in Miramar for a FREE one day GEEK FEST held on Saturday February 27, 2010. This is the fifth year for South Florida Code Camp. The event will have speakers from the local community and beyond. Speakers will be presenting some of the most requested topics like ASP.NET AJAX, Visual Studio 2008, MVC Framework, Silverlight, Windows Presentation Foundation, Sharepoint 2007 and SQL Server 2005. This event is like Tech-Ed for Free but it's community driven by a group of dedicated volunteers and speakers. Breakfast and lunch is included!
The season is summer, not sure the month. We've been holed up in TG HQ for seven years now. The zombies have fought long and hard, but the tide is seeming to finally turn. We will survive this invasion, this walking pestilence. We will, because we were smart enough to stock up on Tac Bac - Tactical Canned Bacon. Yes, we have been surviving on bacon. That is why we are strong; that is why we'll win.
More than half of workers from around the globe surveyed by Monster Worldwide Inc. said they felt the same or were more optimistic when asked "How do you feel about the job market compared to six months ago?"
Nine percent said they were "much more optimistic," 17% said they were "more optimistic" and 26% said they feel about the same -- totaling 52%, according to the survey's results released today.
Twenty percent of workers said they were less optimistic, and 27% said they were much less optimistic, according to the Monster poll.
The survey results included some 30,000 respondents.
