Book Fair International 2013 celebrates its 30th anniversary
The nation’s finest and
largest literary gathering, Miami Book Fair International, presented by
The Center for Literature and Theatre @ Miami Dade College (MDC), turns
30 this year. The beloved festival will take place November 17
– 24, 2013, at Miami Dade MDC’s Wolfson Campus in
downtown Miami.

Thanks to a
grant, school in Kansas will improve Spanish programs
Scott
Dual-Language Magnet in Topeka, Kansas, will receive thousands of
dollars for Spanish-language materials, including books for its
library. The federal grant also will pay for a new coordinator for the
bilingual program, a counselor specializing in behavioral issues, and a
bilingual mathematics and reading specialist, The Topeka Capital
Journal reports.
