Urano partner with other publishers to form the new company Spanish Publishers, LLC
For many years, Urano Publishing USA, Inc. has been servicing other publishers from Spain and has been supplying their books in the US market.Having being able to work together and because of the many advantages of bringing so many choices through one account, they have decided to partner the other publishers and form a consortium. The name of our new company is Spanish Publishers, LLC.

DILVE great success
DILVE (Distribuidor de Información del Libro Español en Venta)[Spanish Books in print Information Distributor] is the free technological platform for the management and distribution of the bibliographical and marketing information of Spanish books in print. It is an Internet-based system, designed for the exchange of information, in a quick and highly efficient way, between the professionals of the book world like publishers, booksellers, distributors, librarians, online stores, book and reading web sites, the media.

ARS organizing meeting for US book professionals and Spanish publishers during Book Expo America
At the upcoming BookExpo America in New York, AMERICA READS SPANISH is organizing for the fourth consecutive year a Breakfast Meet & Greet event, where US book professionals and the 40 Spanish publishers at BEA 2009 will have an opportunity to meet or reacquaint, and exchange information about new releases and market and distribution opportunities. BEA will be held in New York May 28-31. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Jacob K. Javits Center on Thursday, May 28th.

“Spanish Authors in America” program expanding
The “Spanish Authors in America” program, organized by America Reads Spanish (ARS) to bring prominent Spanish authors to the United States and put them in direct contact with the public, is being further consolidated and expanded due to its resounding success. The presentations that began – and will continue to take place – in New York City thanks to a Cooperation Agreement signed in 2008 among Spain’s Culture Ministry, the Spanish Federation of Publishers’ Guilds (FGEE) and the New York Public Library (NYPL) will now be expanded to Miami via the “Lunes Literario” (Literary Monday) initiative at that city’s Spanish Cultural Center.
