Spain will be the focus of BookExpo America's 2010’s Global Market Forum
Much like the 2009 convention’s Arab World forum, the BEA Global Market Forum: Spanish Publishing will include a one-day series of educational conference programs at BEA, which will be held on May 25, 2010. BEA is also seeking to work with literary and cultural institutions in New York City (where the conference will take place) to provide programming extending beyond the Javits Center and which will be open to the public.  

ENCLAVE, reference center for digital libraries
ENCLAVE Editores-BNE has as its objective defining and developing models of content integration subject to authors’ rights in digital libraries. It is set up as a reference center for libraries that want to offer services of this kind. As a pilot objective, the incorporation of digital content subject to authors’ rights in the Biblioteca Digital Hispánica (BDH), or Hispanic Digital Library, is proposed.
                                                                                                       

Mexican writer Jose Emilio Pacheco wins prestigious Cervantes Prize
Mexican writer Jose Emilio Pacheco was named as the recipient of this year's Cervantes Prize, the highest literary honor in the Spanish-speaking world.
The choice was announced at a press conference by Spain's Culture Minister Angeles Gonzalez-Sinde.Spanish.


The first two volumes of the "Nueva gramática de la lengua española" (New Grammar of the Spanish Language) will go on sale in Spain and Latin America on Dec. 4, the Royal Spanish Academy (Real Academia Española), the Association of Spanish Language Academies (Asociación de Academias de la Lengua Española) and Espasa Publishing House announced.
