MASBTV & the Zaino Family are proud to present the fifth show in two parts of a five show mini series on the making of
the US OPEN ISKA World Martial Arts Championships. This will be MASBTV's version of "Behind the Scenes". As
the shows progressed in action we are now entering the final journey giving the martial arts, entertainment and
competition communities a view into one of the biggest and most prestigious martial arts tournaments in the world. This
event which is known as the "Super Bowl" for martial arts is seen Worldwide on ESPN 2 and ESPN 3 Live Broadcast.
With over 1000 divisions and growing the US OPEN is like the Olympics for martial arts competitors. The Zaino Family
has been attending the US OPEN since 1985 when it was held in Daytona Beach, FL. Many great martial arts legends
and competitors have attended long before that and some of their great stories are told in the MASBTV mini series which
will now go down in
Martial Arts Entertainment History. We are hoping our family version of this great
event will inspire all
martial artists to do great things in their Communities, States, and on a Worldwide level. The Making of "Behind the
Scenes of the US
OPEN" is such a cool concept for Martial Arts Historians and fans. Every year people come from all
over the world to be at this exciting event to either compete, spectate, judge, network, and of course to vacation at one of
the hottest vacation destinations - "Walt Disney World"! The life of a Martial Artist is a good one and competition brings
out the best qualities in people. The martial arts community is like one big family and like
any other community we are

We all love and miss Richie to this day! Sadly Grandmaster Alford passed in 2006. There were many martial artists in attendance at his service and this photo above was placed in view for all to see this Martial Arts Champion.

The Sport Martial Arts / MMA Hero's of today are now getting recognized just like the great athletes of the Olympics, Baseball, Basketball, Football, Boxing, etc. For the past fifty years or so Sport Martial Arts has become part of the American culture.
