Hey Seniors! With March right around the corner, it's time to get down to business regarding financial aid. The most important step in this process is filing the FAFSA. And Juniors, it's never too early to start familiarizing yourself with this process.

The FAFSA
In order to receive federal student aid, as well as most state and college aid, you must complete and submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
    1. First and foremost, the form will ask you to list a code for the schools you would
like to receive your information.  Make sure you enter HU's code: 001803.
    2. Indiana requires that you submit your form before March 10th. Some states will
have a later deadline but we highly recommend that you meet this deadline for
        priority aid.
    3. For a faster application process, file electronically at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
    4. If you do not plan on filing the FAFSA, be sure to let your admissions counselor
know so that the financial aid office can process your aid package without it.

Before you begin this process, you can find many helpful hints as well as a pre-FAFSA worksheet at www.fafsa.ed.gov/before001.htm.
